Edsby’s many features are equipped to import and update live documents linked from Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, or an external service. Live documents can be directly imported into the Content Builder in Classes and Groups. Additionally, Notes, Journals, Assessments, Polls, Calendars, Events, and Messages all include the Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive icons. Wherever the Google and Microsoft icons are displayed in Edsby, live documents can be uploaded.
When linked to Edsby, any changes made to the document in its original location will automatically sync and update within Edsby.
Clicking the Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive icon will open a window that lists the files held in teacher’s accounts. Note: Edsby may require teachers to authenticate their accounts and login before having access to the files held in their account.

Adding Live Documents in the Content Builder
Live Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive files can be linked to the Content Builder in Classes and Groups.
To add a live link to a document in the Content Builder, click the + and select one of Google Drive Document, Microsoft OneDrive Document, or Live Document.
The contents of a teacher’s account will appear in the right panel of the Content Builder. Teachers can select the document they wish to link. In this illustration, the teacher is linking the class syllabus for her students to view. Click Save.
The document is embedded within the Content Builder. As always, if teachers make changes to the document in its original location, the updated content is available within Edsby.
Linked documents will display a Google or Microsoft icon accordingly in the Content Panel.
Teachers can jump directly to the document by selecting Edit Mode and clicking Open in Google Drive.
